SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

~Current Nebraska CNA license

~Current CPR license

~Valid Driver's license

~ Appropriate automobile insurance.

~Must have reliable transportation

~Must be bondable and pass required background checks.

~Strong communication and listening skills; be able to follow verbal and written instructions;

~Compassionate, patient, and caring in nature and genuinely concerned about helping people

~Have high moral standards of honesty and integrity

~Friendly, courteous, tolerant of other's lifestyles, nonjudgmental concerning patients/co-workers

~Ability to work independently in a home setting with minimal direct supervision.

~Flexible in scheduling needs of patients and company and accepts assignments to trade cases/hours in a positive and professional manner

~Must be physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of caregiving

~Available to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Being a Home Health Aide allows you the opportunity to provide individualized one on one compassionate care and truly get to know them as a person so that you do make a difference in their life.

We are a small family-owned company without all the corporate politics that you might find in most 4 walled jobs. You get paid to drive from patient to patient along with IRS mileage reimbursement.

JOB OVERVIEW

  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including, but not limited to bathing, grooming, skincare, dressing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, incontinence care, and ambulation as per the plan of care
  • Light housekeeping, meal preparation, and run errands/shopping
  • Medication reminders
  • Assist with ambulation/safe transfer techniques and range of motion
  • Complete documentation for observations and cares provided to patients accurately and according to agency policies
  • Observes and reports any changes in the patient's physical, mental, or emotional condition or home situation to a RN
  • Provide compassionate, personalized care while involving the patient in socialization or other diversional activities to promote the activity of the mind and self-esteem
